LAST INFO OF THE MEETING

Dear friends,

Last important infos concerning the meeting :

Thursday in the afternoon, we will have 2 sessions :

1. plenary with Interviews on migration back-ground (DVD and « life-show »)

2. info-points with statistics, information about laws etc.

You will have panels for posters and tables. Who needs lap-tops and beamer for info-points ?

Friday morning

Students will have several of workshops.

1. evaluation of worksheets (mixed groups)
2. national groups working on migration policy of your country and/or the attitude of media
3. mixed groups for a resolution to EU-Parliament

Please make sure, that your students can work on 1 or 2 articles.

Harald and Sigi developped the following questions for this workshop

Tasks for Group Work:

1. Present the general issues that your articles deal with.
2. Find out if the individual articles present just one or a collection of various views on the issue.
3. Determine whether the authors of the articles are making a comment or only present facts or other people's views.
4. Show in how far you believe that the articles reflect the prevailing attitude in your country.
5. Present your own opinion on the issues.
6. Make a poster that reflects your findings.


A Finish colleague is annouced to come to the meeting. The school is interested to join us for the next project. Thanks to Pilar for the contact ! Here their idea which seems interesting to me.

Irmeli Miettinen wrote me : I got one idea about European behaving manners . We try to educate our pupils to be well behaving new europeans but it would be interesting to compare and perhaps also develop a little better behaving young (I mean in different situations like in different kinds of fests,concerts,wedding etc) Also organizing happenings .
But this is just one idea,I am looking forward to hear your ideas.

Weather is announced to be very, very cold (-1 to -13 degrees !), please take warm clothes with you and inform your students, especially those from France and Spain who risk to suffer !
